  Beating Insomnia: with HRD’s Homeopathy…

Most individuals have tossed, turned and been restless in bed without the pleasure of having a sound sleep. Some may experience a state where you may not be awake, and yet not be asleep.

Insomnia has numerous causes and may affect some for a short time and others indefinitely. Consuming sedatives could help you temporarily; however they are detrimental if taken for too long.

Besides, a condition known a ‘Rebound Sleeplessness’ which causes further sleep loss on stopping sedatives is a matter of concern among chronic users. Sedatives and drugs have no corrective action on the cause of sleeplessness unlike Homeopathy.

Is there a non-addictive, safe treatment available to treat my Insomnia?

Not surprisingly, according to one research report, more than 2 million sleep deprived individuals in the Unites States alone opt for alternative therapies each year; homeopathy being a major contributor. More than 30% of individuals visiting our centres have been treated for altered sleep patterns. Of these, more than 90% of treated cases were benefitted. You too can opt for Homeopathy which has the following curative action:

Ability to improve your sleep patterns without any side effects
Helps you to attain a normal, restful sleep without a ‘Hangover’ effect
Medicines prescribed are non-addictive and need not be taken indefinitely
Relieves responsible causative factor: Stress, Depression, Anxiety, Fears etc

How does HRD’s Homeopathic treatment work?

There are over 500 remedies recommended in the Homeopathic Repertory for sleep. Of these, approximately 40 remedies have been successfully used at our centres by Dr. Vaknalli for conditions varying from idiopathic insomnia to insomnia due to or associated with anxiety, depression, dreams, mental stress, nervousness, restlessness, specific diseases etc.

Your entire emotional and physical makeup will help us determine the remedy capable of curing your insomnia as well as positively influence any causative or associated ailment. You can be assured that there isn’t any other science as holistic as Homeopathy and as capable of influencing your entire life form, without any side effects.

A detail questionnaire and our direct communication with patients worldwide make it practically possible to deal with cases successfully and help us understand your ailment in depth.

Most individuals need app. 8 hours of sleep each day in order to feel fresh the next day. It may be normal for some to sleep for an average of only 4-6 hours and yet feel completely rested.

Our sleep cycles are categorized into the following phases:

Non-REM sleep (Quite Sleep)

Each stage may last for up to 5-15 minutes. The brain is quite, and our body tends to move to some extent.

Stage 1: Eyes are closed in this stage and a person will feel as if he has not slept when aroused from this stage. Very often a feeling of ‘falling’ during this stage may cause your body to jerk or experience a sudden muscle contraction.

Stage 2
: Known as stage of ‘light sleep’. Alternate toning and relaxation of muscles takes place and the heart rate and body temperature falls. You are now ready to enter deep sleep.

Stage 3 & 4
: Known as delta sleep or ‘slow wave’ sleep. Awakening becomes more difficult during this phase and if woken you may feel disoriented.

REM sleep (Rapid Eye Movement Sleep or Active Sleep)

This phase occurs numerous times throughout the night. During this phase most dreams occur as a result of increased brain activity. All muscles except for your heart, lungs and eye muscles are almost paralyzed. Conditions such as depression shorten the REM phase, whereas antipsychotic drugs tend to increase this phase.

Physicians will unanimously agree that sedatives aren’t the solution to insomnia and should be avoided due to their drawbacks:

Sedatives tend to make you feel more tired the next day (Hangover effect)
They stop working if taken too long and may be habit-forming
Your body develops a resistance to the medicine and the dosage needs to be
  increased periodically
Almost all sedatives aren’t safe during pregnancy and should be avoided
They do not address the root cause of the problem and is only a temporary solution

Avoid alcohol on a routine basis and do not consume it with the hope that it will make you sleep. It may do so initially, however you may start consuming more of it over time
Ensure your bed and the environment is sleep-friendly and you do not wake up feeling sore. Your mattress may not be appropriate and may need a change
Exercising or a simple walk can tire you and help you sleep better. However do so at least 2-3 hours before bedtime
Relax and avoid thinking of your daily problems or things to be done the next day when you are ready to sleep. Preferable write down the same and refer to it the next day
Avoid being agitated and if so either read or listen to soft music to calm yourself
Avoid excess of caffeine (stimulant) or a heavy meal as night approaches
Avoid afternoon naps unless you are needed to be alert & functional at nights
Snoring: Avoid snoring by making appropriate changes in your lifestyle. Avoiding smoking, alcohol, heavy meals and losing weight can help. Homeopathy can also be of help in such cases.
A snack consisting of milk or turkey may induce sleep due to a natural sleep inducer L-tryptophan

I have had sleep problems since a very long time and was compelled to take sleeping pills. Dr. Vaknalli’s medicines have helped me considerably and I am now resting better than ever before. It seems that he prescribed medicines based on my anxious, nervous and worried nature and it seems to have calmed me in general.
